Gotta agree with you there. I think that having it a little 'dirty' makes it more exciting, the lure of the taboo, taste of the forbidden fruit and all that. Being atheist doesn't make it 'totally clean', it just relieves you of the fear of being sent to Hell for [whatever].

Along that same train of thought, i was raised Baptist (about as conservative as you get) and have reformed to become an atheist. So I have the childhood guilt complex, but also the dirtier sex with no fear of hell.

The first 18 years of religious guilt and shame was worth it.

LOL, I know what you mean. I was raised Baptist too, but I couldn't take it for 18 years, I escaped earlier.

It depends on how religious someone is. If both parties are riddled with guilt, it won't be any good, but if a person kind of gets off on doing something they feel guilty about, breaking loose from that guilt, it can be better.
