Yep, my wife and I celebrate Christmas, although generally as a holiday celebrating family, giving, and often a touch of gluttony...
Since we left Christianity, we don't put a lot of emphasis on the nativity and such. It just doesn't have any meaning for us anymore, so we focus on the parts of the holiday that do. In her family this really isn't much of a change since they are only nominally theistic. When with my family, we steer clear of church events (they can go, but we don't) and just kind of ignore the Jesus stuff. We recognize the religious aspects of Christmas, but they are not meaningful to us so we don't make them a focus of our celebration.
We did the secular aspect of it when our kids were little because it's a fun time for them. Plus, there is no point in them being ostracized as weird.
Now that we are empty nesters we don't do much with it. We send a few cards, I send my grand kids gifts, we accepted an invitation this year to an informal neighborhood holiday party, etc., but for the most part this time of year comes and goes without much attention from us. Nor do we miss it, because it has negative aspects that even theists acknowledge ... we don't experience the expense, stress, expectations, etc.
we do gifts with friends and family the tree and lights it is nice to come together and share but we also make sure to invite friends that have nowhere to go we have a couple gay and lesbian friends over as their families disowned them. and a very lovely m to f trans that my gf knows who has been disowned. but with us our dearest friends are family. 2 us to us the season is of love and our home and hearts are always open year round but this time of year we spread the love even more. we do not need fairy tales to make us be good people or the same fairy tales or angry self hating made up being to tell us to hate some one and shut them out. even our religious friends like the way we do x-mas over their families
I gather with the family at my sister's house. We're a mixture of xtians, atheists, pagans and whatevers. Everyone gets along because nobody discusses religion/beliefs.
