I'm thinking to move to Atlanta from San Francisco, what I should know before i made the decision.

It is a good move?

This question depends hugely on who you are, what you dom what sort of environment you prefer to live in, your budget, your interests, etc.

I say move anywhere you want to move. You only live once. If you don't like any place you choose to move to can always move back to San Fran. Me personally, I would try out another city for a couple of years and them make your decision on staying or moving back. Make sure you move into an apartment verses buying so that you are not stuck anywhere until you have made up your mind. Good Luck

The first thing you should know is - where are you going to work? Or, are you self-supporting?

If you've got a job lined up, or don't have to worry about how to pay the bills, c'mon over!!

It would take a GINORMOUS pay raise to consider that move. SF = one of the best cities on the planet, Atlanta = Not in same universe.

SF is a wonderful city but Atlanta does have advantages over SF….

-Our airport is better. We have more direct flights just to about anywhere. In two hours you can fly to NYC or the Caribbean.

- Cost of living is cheaper.

- We have four seasons. San Fran mostly stays them same year around

- No threat of the "big one"

- Our nightlife is better

Somebody sent me this...

SF nightlife is way better if you're not black. SF is beautiful, never hot or cold. Who gives a **** about the airport. Cost of living is cheap in atlanta because it attracts stupid, ghetto, cheap people. Hi quality people in SF. Low quality in ATL.

Probably not. He usually has no idea what he is talking about, so it is always best to just skip over all of his useless posts.
