i was driving through this neat little neighbourhood the other night and i have to say, it's a nice cozy little spot. it's on top of a big rock outcropping, northside drive is lined with exposed granite and forest on one side when you're driving up to it— you turn and go up the hill and it's like a little haven. it has a fantastic view of the skyscrapers in town but is remarkably quiet, and has its own park with a little pond in it. anybody live in this neighbourhood?

Used to, and it is a great neighborhood. We still owned a rental house there until about 2002. It's also got great access to the freeways and all kinds of shopping.

Less expensive than where? Loring Heights is actually more expensive than some of the surrounding neighborhoods like Berkeley Park and Underwood Hills. It's a great little enclave and really extraordinarily convenient for getting just about anywhere intown since it's between Midtown and Buckhead and has super quick access to both I-85 and I-75 plus so many major roads, including Peachtree and Northside.

Nope. Loring Heights has always been a quiet little neighborhood. The whole West Midtown area was never run down, the worst it got were the seedy motels that used to be on Howell Mill, and even then it was just prostitution and weirdo drug addicts.
