MARTA has to be one of the worse transportation company in the world, and I mean the way it is managed. The employees get paid good money and I see them standing around at the train stations talking to females. That might be some waste of money right there. The prices keep going up while services are going down. I been to Toronto many times as I have family there, and I am shocked at how good their system is compared to ours and the metro areas of both cities have similar populations. I don't understand how Marta needs more money when it has a lot of users. This is a shame but then again, I should not be so shocked as I realize this is Georgia, where they don't even like sidewalks and people walking. everything in this state is a mess, from the corrupt courts(Dekalb country for example) to getting a license, etc. everything is a headache and it seems like they just want more and more. Just as employees of Dekalb country recorders court steal, I wouldn't be shocked if Marta is runned by similar criminals.

That burns me up too. Some man standing around talking to females when he ought to be driving a bus.

My biggest frustration with the system is that the transfer from red/gold to blue lines at Five Points is a complete wildcard. It can be instant, it can take 20 minutes. There's no telling. I'd rather just have it take five minutes and be able to plan around that.

And it seems like most people transfer at Five Points, rather than ride through the station.
That's not a bad idea. Only thing is, though, they'd have to change the schedule of nearly every bus route in the entire system as a result.

If he's on a break, waiting for departure time, doesn't he have the right to spend his break like he wants? If he's suppose to be driving then that's another story.

If Keith Parker is able to do everything he promises he will be a hero. He really seems to mean business. Hopefully they can save enough to not raise fares.

I'll join you cq. They really need to keep fares where they are while Mr. Parker is getting things in order. If he can keep his promises Martas' public image may change enough to get state funding. If he screws up we may never see a penny from the Capitol.
