I love wings so much that I even started a thread on them myself. My faves are American Deli and Hooters' wings and I'm stickin' with that!

I love Fox Brothers. Their Jalepeño Poppers are life-changing.

But, more on topic...I'm glad to see this thread about wings. I have a couple of places I like, but I haven't found anything I really love. I like heavily breaded wings with light sauce, and they seem hard to find. Believe it or not, when Hooter's does them right (which is rare), they are still my favorite.
I've eaten there several times, it's just not worth the hype...especially the bbq. Would rather get mine from JJ's rib shack.

More importantly, have you had their wings? They have won all sorts of wing contests. Guess some people like em.

Exactly. I thought I was the only one that didn't really care for Fox Bros, based on all the hype, and the wait once we got there. However, I must say that the sides were everything...especially the fried jalapenos and pickles.

American Deli is only good if you like your "hot" wings to taste sweet. JR Crickets is great if you like watery sauce.

Atlantic Grill is my current favorite, ever since Charlie G's made the grave mistake of refusing to turn on the Falcons game a few years ago, but I'll have to see if Fox Bros' wings live up to the hype.

Also, Taco Mac's wings are a joke.

I was amazed at the tiny portions when I got the combo plate: they gave me 3 slices of brisket and said that was a normal portion! Not what I wanted to hear after spending 30 minutes finding a place to park. While we're talking about BBQ, it's clear that Fat Matt's has the best Brunswick stew since that old place in Brookhaven that served stew dogs instead of chili dogs.

Fox Bros portions are all over the map. On several occaisions, I have received a significantly larger portion of meat when ordering the sandwich than when ordering the dinner plate.

The best thing they had that I tried was the jalapeno cornbread muffins. Other than that, the bbq was meh.

That's true in my experience too: one time I got the 4-meat plate and got 20 slices of brisket, and the next time I got 3. And I always get that blase waitress that clearly doesn't want to be there.
