This is sad news but I find it hard to believe. I think there is more to this story than what the report is telling. I don't believe a hospital would let a person die, especially over something like that.

You have to be careful not to buy into media hype, the Zimmerman trial was proof of that.

Well, the latest report says that he's back on the list, so the PC crowd can stop hyperventilating.

Now the question is ... Where on the 'list' is he? His list score might put him at the bottom of the list.

Some of you are absolutely sick in the head. This is a child we're talking about.

If there is another patient that's the same age or younger than him, who's waiting for the same heart, and seems like less of a gamble, then it should probably go to them. To an adult? No way.

Neither of us have been in this young man's shoes, so we're really on the outside looking in. We have no idea what he's gone through and what's going on in his head right now.

As much as people will insist this has nothing to do with race, I do honestly believe that much of society holds minority teenagers to a different standard than they do white teens; perhaps subconsciously.

Sometimes it does, often it doesn't. The people who keep holding the race card rather than folding it without proof too often are the ones unintentionally making things worse. Some folks need to go back to preschool and dissect the story about the boy who cried wolf... I am no literary expert but I believe the moral of the story is that idle warnings create an environment where true danger isn't believed or investigated. Call a spade a spade, but calling it a spade before seeing the hand isnt helping anybody and is at best speculation and at worst fabrication.

While the whole scenario is sad, it is also sad that it only took an hour after the OP for someone to start slinging race...perhaps we should have more details before such assertions are made.

Good point, the whole driver license check mark is nothing more than a wish. Your family has the final say. Be sure they know your wishes.
