Perdue hasn't really either though. So far he's said he is the outsider that will do things differently, but he hasn't put forward any specific policy proposals other than the typical Republican ones like "repeal Obamacare".

With regards to the "lean" of C-D users, it is left-leaning as a whole, but on the infamous Politics forum, it is right-wing as can be. It's like two different worlds.

Now, I've decided on most of the downballot races (mostly GOP), but for the Gov. and Senate races, I'm still undecided; while Purdue has said things that have turned me away from him (which is amazing considering that he hasn't said much), Nunn hasn't really established many positions on....anything. She's running almost entirely on name recognition and bashing Purdue's business record at almost every turn. I don't feel comfortable voting for her at all unless she actually tells us what she'd do in Washington (and no, I don't care for the ignorant, partisan comments like "She'll make things better and stick it to the GOP!" or "She'll fall in line behind [Harry] Reid and Obama!"). Deal has bonafide ethics issues, and the craziness that was 1/28/14 didn't help, but I strongly question some of Carter's policy ideas, such as his ideas for the education budget.

Much like quite a few of the Scottish independence voters, I'll probably remain undecided until I get to the polling booth. I live in DeKalb, but I'm not partaking in early voting.

The MARTA question in Clayton and Sunday voting in Fulton/DeKalb have boosted turnout a bit, but I don't know if it will be enough to overcome the need for runoffs, which I still think are likely in both top-tier races.

PSA: There is a gubernatorial debate on WSB-TV/C-SPAN at 6:30. At 7, the senatorial candidates will partake in a debate sponsored by the Atlanta Press Club on GPB (WGTV locally, stations vary by area).

This is pervasive. Pundits are calling it the Seinfeld election or the "election about nothing." Party realignment and polarization are complete. The most conservative D holding national office is more liberal than the most liberal R. There's really no point in voting anymore based on individual candidates and policy positions. Pick the party that most closely aligns with your views and interests, and vote for that party's candidates.

On the upside, it makes things pretty easy -- even very low-information voters are likely to cast efficient votes. On the downside, it's kind of a mockery of a robust representative democracy.

This whole campaign has been about nothing. However, I'm tired of some acting as if Atlanta (via Georgia) needs to remain status quo rather then keeping itself competitive with its peer major cities. With changes in demographics must come changes in leadership and representation...
