It's not exclusive to transit from what the House guy is saying.

Holy... okay, despite that lame-ass elimination of the electric car tax credit, I might, just might, be able to get behind this bill now...

House vote(s):
ADOPT CCR: 129 (Y) | 41 (N)

The bill now moves on to the Senate. Also, the House has insisted on its substitute to SB4, and has appointed a conference committee.

The bill to my knowledge does not fund any transit specifically, it just says some of hotel fee money MAY go to transit and it allows counties to implement additional taxes for transit if they want.

That is not the final passage of the bill, right? (I'm not familiar with legislative processes.)

Yes it is final passage. The conference committee report is the final version of the bill after the House and Senate differences have been worked out.

Right. What I meant to say is that revenue from the hotel tax is not constitutionally hamstrung to highway funding, and thus, is where the money for transit is going to come from. The state budget will reportedly set aside $100m for transit this year.

Oh so this is it? The House just passed it, it's being debated in the Senate, and if they pass it, which they probably will, it heads to Nathan Deal's desk?
