It's something of a catch-22. To get things like 24 hour service requires greater ridership. That greater ridership will come when we have more of a network due to the network effect. But it's sometimes hard to justify expansion unless there's existing ridership.

I've definitely had to wait 15+ mins for a train in Manhattan more than a few times.

Last I checked, you have to take the M60 or Q70 for the final mile into LGA.

Either way, I wish we had twilight service via bus or rail here.

I'm still not sure why bus service ends at 1am. What's the point of not running overnight service?

Yeah I took the Q70. Forgot about that.

Might not have enough demand for overnight service

No armpits, corndogs generally make people gassy.

What would be perfect, if the train actually went places other than the airport. Like, where everyone lives? Then we could ride said train to said airport, actually taking advantage of said advantage.

Not 'everyone' lives in Cobb County. It took me about 10 minutes to cart my rolling bag over to the Decatur MARTA station, and about 10 minutes to the Buckhead station when I lived there. There are plenty of people in that situation in this city.

I'm sure certain routes could sustain service for a couple more hours. Not every route needs to run all night but no reason in this day and age, no service at all until 4:30ish.

More of us than there are of you DeKalb residents. And Gwinnett has 200,000 more people than even we do. And of the residents of Fulton and DeKalb, there are huge areas without any rail. I lived in Alpharetta for a few years, and I wouldn't call that having rail access. Now I live ITP, and it's even worse here.

MARTA, as a system, is a joke. They do as best as they can with their limitations, and the CEO is fantastic. Not their fault at all. But it doesn't go hardly anywhere. We all know whose fault that is historically.

Which, is really a shame, since it does go to the airport and the Falcons stadium and so forth. But in order to make a connection, you need stations on both ends of that connection.
