I have a guess for the number of Cobb sites proposed for HQ2: 0

We don't need Amazon to locate in our county to reap much of the benefits of it. Just need a commuter rail or MARTA heavy rail connection from the NW suburban metro to the Amazon campus. Cobb is a suburb of Atlanta.

My wife ended up working for Amazon from home when we moved here in February because she isn't certified to interpret or teach in Georgia. After a few months and several accolades from customers and supervisors, she's now entertaining a management possibility with Amazon...

Life's twists and turns are interesting, but I'm rooting for this deal to happen

We are rooting for our community to continue to grow and strive to be the best city we can become. You, living in little Marietta, (oh look I can walk to the square!!) have zero concept of wanting to see your community become a thriving, international city as you have zero skin in the game. An outsider. A pariah.

I think Atlanta is up for the challenge.
Ummm.... Atlanta is not a large international city without this whole region. period.

This divisive rhetoric is poorly thought out.

We all have skin in the game. As someone whose family has been in the region for a very, very long-time... I'm getting tired of the immaturity of a few uppity people who move into the area and feel special from the mere placement of a political boundary.

Atlanta is up for the challenge, the whole Atlanta region is up for the challenge.

It's that Cobb doesn't have much to offer as far as what Amazon is looking for. Same for Gwinnett. If I were on the Cobb or Gwinnett Chambers of Commerce, this would worry me and I'd be asking what I could do to fix it. Sure, Cobb (or Gwinnett) doesn't need it right now, but it's going to lose these contests until it gets on the transit/infrastructure bandwagon. And it's going to lose companies to the city and other metro areas with transit in the meantime.

Did Cobb say they didn't want it? I can't fathom them outright saying that. Cobb loves business.

If they wanted big business to move to Cobb they would have started the process of getting heavy rail years ago when big companies started to move from OTP to ITP.
