The Fox Theater as a movie theater. Glad my Dad took me there several times as a kid. It's still there of course but does not (or at least did not) get regular run movies anymore.

I remember the Loew's and the Rialto and the Peanut Man who handed out hot peanuts on the street. My father and I loved to eat lunch at the Krystal and I always got a coconut doughnut. I wish they would bring those back.

Anyone remember Cub Foods? When they first came to Atlanta, it was a whole new way to grocery shop. That was before Sam's Club, Costco, etc.

We discussed Rich's earlier but nobody mentioned the Pink Pig or the lighting of the great tree. Is that still going on at Lenox or somewhere else? Still not the same thing.

I also miss the old Toco Hills theater that used to have double feature matinees on Saturday mornings. They would raffle off stuff (like giant bags of popcorn) before the movie. When we were in seventh grade, we would go there to cruise boys. If we liked them, we would sling those four-cup holders at them. They worked like Frisbees.
Afterwords, we would ride our bikes up to the Pot-O-Gold at the other end of the shopping center.

Buckhead Cinema and Drafthouse? I think it's now something else but still a theater.

Dang Neil, I was about to mention Cub Foods, oh well. I remember hearing about it closing because Osama (the terrorist guy) was a part owner or something crazy like that.
