Well....I said Atlanta lacked a natural wonder. Not close enough to Stone Mountain. So maybe go for a man-made one?

What are you even talking about? My reply was to someone saying that Atlanta was so dense that there isn't anywhere to put a tower like this. I never said anything disparaging about the city, just that it isn't that crazy dense, and provided a counter-example. Way to put a ton of words in my mouth, though.

I love Atlanta and would likely move back if given the chance.

lol--I think this is just another move in Atlanta's trend of developing less outwards and more upwards. A high-density core is the way to go in a big city. Plus, this tower's in a perfect location--easy access to 75, 85, and MARTA; on the north end of Midtown; and right on Peachtree St.

Dewberry buys 1400 Peachtree for $6M

1.7 acres - $6M foreclosure price

1400 Peachtree is the location that the OP mentioned. Not sure if the 2011 posts were discussing a slightly different location?

I have no idea how you thought I meant that.

Seattle has a nice mountain.

Unfortunately, Atlanta is too far from Stone Mountain to see it from the city unless you go up a skyscraper.
