Has weatherman Paul Ossman left WXIA? I haven't seen him in at least a week. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Orelon Sidney who does the weekend weather in a few weeks either.

Beckman retired a few years ago. I'm not sure when Sharpe did, but he is also officially retired.

Actually, Guy Sharpe died several years ago. Huge funeral at the place on Spring Street at 10th (Patterson?) -- I happened to be driving by right then and wondered why every tv station in the city had satellite trucks outside the funeral home.

Whoops. You're right.

For the record, channel 5's Ken Cook is rumored to be close to retiring as well by those in the know, and Glen Burns of channel 2 has been grooming David Chandley to take over as well at some point (thankfully).

I've been wondernig when Ken and Glenn would retire, they have been around FOREVER. It will be sad to see them go.
