California has the women with the fake bodies, horrible cost of living, earthquakes, has the worst traffic in the nation, horrible crime (gangs), shrinking middle class, etc

The grass is always greener somewhere else. If you like everything else here then stick it out a while and see how things go. Sounds like being home with your kids is important and your now able to do it plus buy a house and with the change in the market buy a great house for a great price.

the above url will link you to the atlanta-journal constitution online. read the headlines and decide for yourself. true, crime can happen everywhere, but the perception of crime in atlanta seems to be that it is happening everywhere.

I live 6 miles from the city center and can't remember the last time I dodged a bullet.
Let's try and avoid the hyperbole, shall we? Especially when we don't actually live in the city.

I live in the city too and haven't seen any bullets either. Read the headlines or watch the local news in any major city or even smaller city and thats what you'll see, crime, crime, crime. People always say that about where ever they are from it seems.
