patio furniture
I know I'm choosing the worst time to buy, but does anyone know where I can find good prices for PADDED outdoor furniture that's not tacky(no wicker) for my large apartment patio? Lounge furniture, NOT talking about table and chairs.

Home Depot and Lowes both have some pretty nice looking stuff. It's probably not the highest quality, but for the price, it looks pretty good. The key to making that stuff last is to bring it in during the off season, and keep it covered if possible (as in under a roof).

Patio furniture is the most frustrating purchase ever!!! It took my wife and I a year to finally decide on what to buy and we got a conversation set from Home Depot that is pretty nice. True it will probably only last 5 years or so, but we paid $600-700 for it, which is okay, and I can't stomach spending big $$$ for the nice stuff just to have it sit outside!!!

You could try Sears. Or Garden Ridge. They're having a patio sale until the 9th.

With all the gaudy conservatively styled furniture in the metro area, sometimes I want to scream "is this a joke?" when I walk into these furniture stores.
This is one area where I wish I lived out west.

Gotta agree. Most furniture stores around here are filed with ugly junk and overpriced Target furniture. Sounds like you need to order online from somewhere out west.

I waited and ended up buying something at the Sears Outlet in late summer two years ago. I actually think the furniture is good quality and looks very nice. None of that cheapy glass look.

I would try Target, I believe they copy Crate and Barrel for the most part.
