After seeing some positive reviews about EP I have decided to move there. It seems like most people are saying Jefferson Park, and Historic East Point. Unfortunately it seems like almost all the apartments have negative reviews. Anyone have suggestions (websites or names) for apartments or townhomes for rent?

Thanks!

Have you drove around Historic Downtown East Point or Jefferson Park? Sometimes, that's the best way to search.

Also, look for apartments/duplexes that may be within homes/neighborhoods (a single-family home divided into apartments/duplex, etc.). Look on Craig's List, newspaper ads, etc.

Default Yes

Thanks Aries,
I was planning on doing that this week. The only thing I am worried about is that it will be after work (around 6ish) and didnt want to wander into some not so nice areas by mistake especially since I have a very nice sports car. Any areas to specifically avoid or ways to get to the nice areas coming from 85 south?

Thanks!

Don't worry about wondering into not so nice areas--

it's summertime (lots o' light) and things are not that bad...

Agreed, you will be fine just about anywhere driving around.

Yeah, I can't really think of any neighborhoods in all of East Point that would be dangerous to drive around in any time of the even well past midnight.

you'll regret your electric bill. they city charges twice as much as ga power, and if you do not pay your ENTIRE bill on time, they will cut you off, no excuses, no leniency, no payment plans. you have a week after the bill due date. after that, it's lights out.

And?

If you do not pay your bill, what makes you think that the service should continue?

I am going to go eat lunch now. It should cost about $10, but I think I'll pay them $6 and see how that works out for me.

A week is a rather short period of time before cutoff, and I can think of several legitimate scenarios where a missed or incomplete payment could occur, e.g. the bill was delayed getting to you in the mail (has happened to me when it was delivered to the wrong address and I didn't get it from the neighbor for several days), or your bank's automatic estimated bill payment was three cents short and you don't catch that fact.

I could see a warning letter sent out after seven days followed by subsequent cutoff if that letter did not result in a payment, but a cutoff without warning?

I wouldn't worry about paying the bill on time. I'm worried about the fact that they charge twice as much as GA power. Now, that sucks!!
