Do you mean Kedron students will now attend a different middle school? This has been the hardest part about growing areas around Atlanta is that the schools change so much for redistricting. Are there better areas to live in Fayette County than others or even in PTC? We are looking at 300 to 400,000 price range houses and good schools since we will have a kindergartener and preschooler. We would like a home atleast 5 years or less in age. We are also considering north of atlanta just because of schools and family too. |

There are definetly better and worse areas of PTC. Your price range won't be able to get you into the "nicest" areas, but you should be able to get something that is relatively newer. I would say that all of the schools in PTC are wonderful. There are some neighborhoods that are now redistricted to a new middle school (Bennet's Mill) that go to Kedron Elem. These n'hoods include Kedron Hills, Smokerise, Stoneybrook. Those are some of the nicer n'hoods in town. But, those don't really have homes in your price range anyway. Some areas that you might look into are: Centennial (new development), Chadsworth, Cedar Croft, Planterra Ridge, Ardenlee, Wilshire Estates, etc. All of the schools here are good. I'm sure that the new middle school will be good too. But, it isn't in PTC. It is in Fayetteville (not accessible by golf cart, which really makes a difference to most of us). : )
