Hello.

My husband and I decided to move to Sandy Springs Atlanta.

Would anyone know of any dog parks or dog walk runs? We have two small dogs (Chihuahua and Mix-Terrier).

Thanks so much!!:

I go to Lenox park and Chastain park to walk my dogs. From Sandy Springs, go south on Lake Forrest and you will hit Chastain park. If you have a bigger dog, you may want to look into Island Ford along Chattahoochee, right off Northridge exit on 400.

There is a place called the Big Tree Preserve Park on Roswell Rd., just north of where Dalrymple intersects....never been there, but the website says it has 1.5 mile of trail winding through trees. Need to keep your dogs on a lease and not really a "dog park" but at least it's a place to walk through nature with your pups. There is also a nice park in Dunwoody off Roberts Rd. which has a trail with a newer section winding through a lot of woods. May be too far for you, though, just to walk the dogs.
