It has been over a year since Fred Yazdi shot Enrique Recio in his front yard, it seems odd that there has been no news about any activity on the case.

Fleeing driver shot dead in Avery Ranch

The last news report that I could find said:

Yazdi-Avery Ranch death case reset | KXAN.ncom

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - The first-degree murder case against Avery Ranch resident Fred Yazdi, also known as Farzad Fakhriyazdi, was reset Monday and pushed to Nov. 1.
I could find no news since then, not even any indication that the case occurred on Nov. 1 or not. I am curious to learn how the courts rule on this case.

We were pet-visiting all week in that neighborhood and I'll say it was a little strange driving by the house each day...made a touch stranger when seeing the homeowner(I presume) sitting in his open garage door a few times. Not sure what prompted him to move the barricades from the driveway; but they are gone and one vehicle is routinely parked in the 'common' drive.

A year and a half between incident and trial(possibly longer) seems a bit 'delayed'.

YES! "Strange" is probably the best choice of words there. I would also use creepy.

Especially when it was time to pick up kids and he was out there.

There were two police cars in front of this guy's house just now and police are talking to him in his driveway. The guy is out there puffing on hus hookah pipe just about everyday. I wish he would just "go away".

Dang, one of the condos we're considering was/is actually in the line of fire in that shooting incident...clear view of the driveway and parking area.

Wonder if the tax appraisal for the surrounding houses takes into account the loss of property value while that guy is still there....

Those dates have come and gone, but no news updates regarding the trial can be found in google news searches.

Going to the Judicial Records I found this: http://judicialrecords.wilco.org/Cas...CaseID=1400137

Interesting.

A few weeks ago there were 2 detective-looking people, one officer in uniform, one man taking pictures (dressed like he works in a lab/forensics unit), and one lawyer (must be Mr. Recio's) out in the street taking photos. Mr. Recio was in his garage with the lawyer-looking guy while the others took photographs of the various areas around the street/house/vehicle.
