Whats up with the avery ranch tonight? Where do you view the fireworks , from the golf course? Do you need to be a member of the HOA? I tried looking but couldn't find anything.

You didn't hear it from me; but dozens of folks just pull onto the shoulder of Parmer Ln and park!!! Not a great idea; however, the Plaza shopping center has parking and the viewing from that center down toward the Brushy Creek bridge is very good. The Morningside Amenity Center(MAC) is the site of the HOA sponsored activities, theoretically for residents. The parking area has never been able to handle the crowds who drive in. Fortunately, it has been 'manageable' for the past few years.

Lakeway has cancelled their annual fireworks show due to drought conditions. But Hurst Harbor will be having them this evening - my guess is around 9 PM. Unfortunately, the low water has caused the permanent closing of their restaurant, Johnny Finn's. Best bet would be to go to Iguana Grill on 620 after you're done, sit on the patio, relax and enjoy the show.

Man, that was a fiasco getting to and from CoA for the fireworks last night. Left at 10:00, didn't get back home until 12:30 AM. Never again!

I know it's after the fact, but for future reference or others that stumble across this thread, you can also watch the Avery Ranch show from Brushy Creek park. Generally plenty of parking, easy in/out
