Hello! I perused the pizza threads but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

We're picking up family at Austin Bergstrom on Sunday early evening and need to immediately after find a pizza place to celebrate a birthday- family style.

So here's my needs:

-within about 15 min drive from airport
- sit down, family friendly
- not a Pizza Hut, etc
- open Sunday evenings
-delicious!

Thanks for any recommendations!

I've seen that one recommended several times, but I thought it was a take away pizza window. Glad to see I was wrong! Is the dining area inside big enough to handle a party of 8?

It's usually a long wait time. That's the main drawback. 8 might be difficult.

It is big enough but usually a very crowded place. You could give them a call. We used to do end-of-season sports celebrations there with entire teams and parents but we had an in.

You can reserve rooms/areas for parties at Varsity Pizza on the North edge of UT Campus or I'm sure you could just grab a table. This just changed to Varsity Pizza in the past year or so after being Double Dave's forever.

Varsity Pizza & Pints

I'm not sure how affiliated they are with Double Dave's if at all, but they still have Pepperoni rolls.

Would be pushing that 15 minute envelope, even on Sunday, I reckon.

Yeah, should be about 20 minutes on a Sunday evening. Around 10 miles. As we all know, "there are a lot of great places to eat near the Austin Airport" isn't a phrase that you hear too often around here.
