As much as I hate to say it, but we need a good hard freeze. My landscaping has been chewed up by assorted pests this year due to the warmer than usual weather. If the weather feels good to you, then it's good for the pests as well Oaks had bad fungal problems this year and the reds have dropped their leaves earlier than usual. Water bill is still high due to the need for irrigation since not a drop of rain has fallen in over a month (we didn't get the rain bounty that S Austin received lol).

Finally, we need hard freezes so that I can get a free day off.

First average freeze isn't for a few weeks and November is predicted to be rainier but warmer than average.

The soaking continues in Steiner. Have you still not received any rain yet?

Not as far as I know, but I'm working now so I don't know. The rainfall was scant the other day.

It's been raining off/on all day long in Oak Hill, serious downpour just started 15 minutes ago. Very grateful for it!

Just checked the radar and that is a SERIOUS blob moving in from the west! Rainfall rates we haven't seen in a while! Batten down the hatches!

It is raining cats and dogs in Steiner right now. The area I redesigned after the flood in the lower portion of my yard has flooded again. This is after adding french drains and other mechanisms.

4" already and counting. When it rains it never stops!!!!
