Sounds like a couple of gangbangers had a fight and decided to play shoot-em-up on dirty 6th. Because there were some motorcycles parked outside they initially surmised that ROT Rally participants were involved. They eventually backed off of that theory, thankfully. It’s really pitiful what has happened to night life downtown. Whenever we get out-of-town-guests they seem to always want to go down to 6th. “Have a good time”, we tell them. We won’t waste our time socializing among scumbags. Hard pass.

And the mass shooting is immediately followed by three other shootings across the city…. Not to mention the one deadly shooting in southeast Austin before the mass shooting

Yup, Abbot is hell bent on ensuring these events keep happening. Anyone who disagrees is just not paying attention.

Guns by law are not allowed in bars, so law abiding people don’t carry them on Sixth St.

Because they follow the law.

You don’t know the law or the Constitution.

That’s how fake news starts.

Well apologies for any mis-information. Like I stated before it was based on word of mouth. Not any factual sources.

It’s not your fault. You’re saying what you’ve heard, it’s when it gets twisted by others.

Just heard, on KXAN, the person they have in custody is a juvenile so they can’t release many details, if any. They are still waiting to get the second person, but they know who it is.
