My wife and I have heard lots of positive feedback about Brushy Creek and are currently researching the area. We’d appreciate some local advice on which schools and communities in Brushy Creek have a good mixture of diversity while still delivering a quality/well rounded education. And if you could also share tax rates that would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Brushy Creek can mean a number of places/school tracks and tax loads, depending on which "Brushy Creek" you mean. IF you mean the CDP called Brushy Creek, it's served by four elementary schools, for example. It's actually in the Round Rock ISD. The Brushy Creek MUD is within the CDP, I believe.
Then, you have areas using the name "Brushy Creek" that might be different altogether...ex. Ranch at Brushy Creek, actually located in Cedar Park.

In other words, it would be hard to generalize(or be specific) without knowing which actual neighborhood you were referencing.

It's never as easy as it should be.

Ranch at Brushy Creek (in Cedar Park), by itself has 2 different ISD feeding to it depending on where you buy. Few parts of it goes to Leander ISD, other to RRISD. Traditionally RRISD had been favored more by buyers (more pricier), but right now everything has gotten crazy expensive irrespective schools/ zoning etc...

Do you mind sharing the 4 elementary schools that serve Brushy Creek?

I see… well this is certainly a bit confusing. We were under the impression that Brushy Creek was a master planned community. And now I’m not sure what exactly folks have referenced when they mention Brushy Creek

Does that mean that there’s more than 4 elementary schools that feed into Brushy Creek?

I would bet it's the Ranch @ Brushy Creek...as mentioned above, large enough to have 2 school districts.
Actually located in Cedar Park, just barely north of the Austin city limits. Wide variety of home sizes, styles, builders(not unlike Avery Ranch to the south). Homes as old as ~ 20 years, others still being built
Various HOAs within the community; so even that could vary from neighborhood to neighborhood within the "Ranch".

Do you mind sharing the names of the 4 elementary schools that feed into this area? I’m gonna research them a bit

The four ES I mentioned above were within the "Brushy Creek" CDP, not the 'Ranch @ Brushy Creek'.

Some R@BC kiddos attend Patsy Sommer ES(within Avery Ranch and the city of Austin...if you're keeping score Round Rock ISD ). Others attend Ronald Reagan ES in Cedar Park...LEANDER ISD.

The ISD you attend is determined by the address of the residence(with few exceptions, I reckon).

Did I mention it's not as easy as it should be???

Finding a house for sale it tough enough...finding one with a certain school track is getting tougher and tougher.

OP, where is your office located? Maybe there are other locations that can be a fit?

If I were home buying, I'd want a decent amount of options. Also, there are some school tracks that may not be "the best" but they are still pretty good.
