I am not arguing with them - I was 'arguing' with your analysis that said El Nino was depressing tropical storm formation. It is not, at least not yet. NOAA is predicting that as it gets stronger it will suppress TS formation.

I wasn’t saying it was depressing formation. I was saying it was depressing intensification and movement to the US. But read it however you want.

I guess it was time for you to do a "going downhill" post, you complained, joked about them in the past.

Default Heat and Humidity

Rarely do you hear anyone in Austin complaining about the Humidity. I mostly hear people talk about how great the weather is.

Really? I hear people complain about the humidity frequently and joke about the never-ending summer all the time.

Default Californians

Those people complaining must be from California.

Nope, neighbors from up and down the street that are all pretty much grew up here or somewhere in Texas. It was very humid for how hot it was at the end of June. Definitely worth complaining about. Maybe not so much complaining as commenting, I suppose, on how unusual it was. And in my 50+ years in Austin, everyone has always joke about the heat and how nice the one month spring and one week fall was...

I think June was a pretty humid month this year.. ..it seemed abnormally muggy for Austin. I personally haven't heard anyone complain about it, but it reminded me of being back in Atlanta.

Our otherwise ordinary summers do not seem very muggy or humid by my standards. Just hot as hell.

Regarding the humidity, I don't feel like it's been any more or less humid than usual. I don't run frequently in the morning, but when I do I hate every second of it because of the humidity. I did 10 miles downtown today and was squishing in my socks by the end of my two hours out there.

Well, I am in El Paso and it is a bit toasty - haven't gone out since this morning...
