It was good vest weather last night! Very strange for this time of year, I guess it's the changing of the seasons.

Northface vest, yes!

I don't do the full jacket in Australia, although I'm heading up to Europe and America in a couple of weeks where I most definately will!

Well you will def need if if headed to NY and waterproof shoes. I was at the 9/11 memorial Monday night and was soaking wet. It rained Mon-Wednesday non stop in NY. Miserable.

I am indeed going to NY as well as Chicago and SF. Thanks for the heads up, I hate wet feet, although I won't be there until early January.

Don't knock the vest till you try it. The great thing about it is its good from about -2 all the way up to 18-19 degrees. It truly is a garment for all seasons!
