I won't ever own a KIA. Growing up watching the Vietnam war on the news and seeing the scrolling KIA and MIA lists, I can't ever drive a car that's got KIA on it.

You will never find a Passat, Mini or SmartCar in our garage....few others, but these are the top 3 that would be X off the top of the list.

I always told myself I'd never own a Ford product or anything foreign built.

Let's see.....so far I've owned a...

Honda CRV
Peugeot 505
Mercury Cougar
Mercury Capri (the Mustang ones)
Two Ford Couriers, which are really just rebadged Mazda trucks.

And if I were to buy a new truck tomorrow, it would most likely be a Ford.

I am not really a brand loyal guy nor a brand hater. Car makers quality changes over time and it doesn't make sense to me to buy a car today just because it was good 30 years ago.

Right now I would have a hard time with any Chrysler product. Except for styling, I find almost nothing to like about the products. Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep. The Viper is an exception.

I wouldn't drive a Smart. Too stupid. It is overpriced, too slow, and doesn't get astounding economy. A Ford Fiesta, Mazda2, or Honda Fit would be a far better choice.

I would also have a very tough time buying any full size SUV. I am not a tree-hugger per se. I just do not like driving anything that size.

you wont find me in a yugo, and for the most part i will never own a convertible, though if i got a deal on a 71-73 mustang convertible i would likely buy one. and there are very few cars made after 1990 that i would own as well. i like american trucks, and unless you are talking about heavy duty trucks available here in the US, no foreign trucks for me, though the mahindra sounds interesting. as for vans, i like full size ford vans, dodge and chevy vans are ok, and i like the astro mini van, and the ford aerostar, preferably the cargo versions. if i were to get a mini cooper, it wont be the bmw version, but rather the vintage austin mini cooper. pintos and vegas are ok, i like both cars, but things like the dodge rampage are out, and there are very few vw's i would consider, as well as high end cars of any kind, though a nice mid 60's bentley or rolls-royce would be cool.

Any full size pick-up truck
Toyota Camry

...this could change over time though. About 10 years ago, the Ford Taurus was probably my most disliked car, but the current ones seem pretty nice now (I haven't driven one though).
