I find it funny because where Subaru used to be niche and quirky they are trying oh so hard the past couple years to move more mainstream. Just look at the new for '08 Impreza (especially following the '10 facelift), '10 Legacy and '10 Outback. The styling and packaging is all about being more mainstream. The only thing that is still 'quirky' about a Subaru is the standard AWD and boxer engine.
Still don't get the universal love fest for Hyundai and universal hate for Gm, but whatever.
^^^ Those are both the old models. True Hyundai styling is derivative but at least they copy cars today with style whereas in the past they copied bland cars.
Honda's are bland cars. Newer models of Korean Honda's, oops , don't look all that original either.
You have actual facts to back up the opinion? Something that can't be countered easily?
I have facts....being the past owner of a Hyundai that had the transmision crap out at 40,000 miles (and when the symptoms started, the Hyundai dealer service department was telling me there was nothing wrong). All I know is my Elantra was a headache reliability-wise, and was not built with the same integrity as Hondas or Toyotas. The interiors are very cheap, the body is not as durable....and like I said, mechanically it was a nightmare.
