I've noticed that Motor Trend likes Ford, and Car & Driver raves about Audi. I guess all journalists have biases. Has anybody noticed any obvious biases in the automotive press? To what extent to you suppose they're influenced by the manufacturers?
Simple reason - advertising. For them to exist, they need advertising revenue. For them to get advertising revenue, they have to be positive. Which means they can't say bad things about the folks who pay them the most to exist. You don't want to bite the hand that feeds ya, do you?
