Driving, I can honestly do without most features. But a deal breaker for me is AC. I live in south Louisiana so it's a must have. I can live without wiper delay, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power seats, and even stereo (I could always buy and install after market model). But I got to have the AC,... Not just for comfort, it's also for when the windshield fogs up.
Radio is horrendous nowadays & I don't care to pay for XM or Sirius since I can use the TuneIn radio app. for iphone & get access to thousands of online stations.
Also, I insist on a modern, up-to-date stereo system but it's easy enough to remedy that via atermarket if the car otherwise has everything else I need.
Some cars will come with auto windows, ac, gps etc. but without a center arm rest. I don't actually use it very much when I am driving, but it makes it easier to get myself settled in the drivers seat after entering the car. I use is as a handle/support to shift myself around.
Must be AMERICAN MADE. And I don't mean an American brand with a Chinese engine and a Japanese transmission assembled in Mexico. Americans did it best, and still do.
I know this sounds petty but living in chicago there is two things that any new car I buy must have. Heated seats and mirrors. The GF's Forester has the cold weather package with these and I'm spoiled.
MY next new car will have them or I'll have to install them myself. Nice to keep your butt warm on a -20F winter day
That is a bit of an odd one, but I tend to feel confined like I am trapped in a cave when I am in a car without a sunroof. Even the hard top on my convertable has a sunroof. I do not mind going on a trip in a car without one, but for a car t drive all the time, I must have light from above.

1995 Plymouth Neon Sport Coupe. 1995 Buick Park Avenue. 2008 Buick Lucerne. That's what car(s). And the VIN's on each bear the fact they are American made, assembled in the good ole USA. Any other questions?
