No, it doesnt have to. Ive always had trucks and a couple of times, van conversions (family) but as a truck person, you can have one anywhere. Its just a choice preference. (Maybe sub-conciously because I move so much it turns out more handy to have one?)

I love my crew cab 4x4 Duramax. Great for hauling and towing. Milage is not the best but I didn't buy it for the milage. I bought it for hauling and towing. As somebody mentioned above though, rear end is a little light though, especially when the road is a little wet.

My dad lives 15 minutes from Philly and works in Philly and has a pick up truck. He just likes it and it's good for towing this boat to the shore in the summer.

well, I live between two streams trout to the left, everything else to the right, and have two pickups for the creek one is even camo! dat's gotta be country. but I also have a 66 mustang gt and wifey drives a xterra, although I have taken it to the creek before and almost got stuck... had to wash it 2-3 times to get all the mud and cow poo off it!...but I do see a lot of the "I dont go in the dirt trucks" around here and some hummers with all the chrome goodies on them.......ya know they dont!

No but you still have to make moonshine and get into the occasional chase with the Sherrif. You know, just to stay in character.
