So some one last night gave me their number if I was interested in selling my Lincoln Mark VIII, and I was wondering what I should get next.
This is what I was thinking about replacing it with
1. 1988 Olds Cutlass
2. Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE
3. T-Bird Turbo Coupe, or one with a V-8
4. Merkur XR4Ti, or Scorpio
5. Fox body Mustang
As of right now this is totally hypothetical, and basically me day dreaming

My sone has a 1994 T-bird GT (V-8) he wants a supercoupe. The GT is decent, and does well in most categories (comfort, perfomance, handling, MPG, clss and style), but it does not excel in any of those categories. the handling is pretty remarkable given the wieght of the car.

My wife had an old turbo coupe (it was not that old when she had it) it was a POS. I had to push it off the Balboa Ferry about a dozen times in the mnth she had it. It was underpowered for its size, poor mileage, not that comfortable, bland looking. I am trying to remember smething good to say about it. There was a fairly valuable coin collection hidden under the carpeting in the turnk. That was the best thing about that car. It was probably a 1984 or 1985.

Every one of the cars on your list is a step backwards in performance, comfort, style, and in most cases, age. Value of an VIII has bottomed, so if yours is in good shape, there is little reason to sell it.

Agreed. The only car I really find interesting on that list is the Merkur XR4Ti but I would have to do some work to increase engine output if I wanted to be happy with it. They had one on Top Gear US last week.
