It's been a while since driving those 2 cars but I just remember the Q7 visibility wasn't all that great and the thing was huge on the outside but not so much in the inside.
If I had to pick between the 2, it would be the X5.

I know the Q7 has much better technology and a touch screen navigation.
Why do you care which one I think rides best. If I told you a poop sandwich is the best tasting thing on the planet would you try it? When talking about how car drives and rides its something that YOU have to experience. Drive them both, and buy the one you like the best.

Because certain people may have more experience with either car than the poster does? Maybe someone has owned both and one was just a POS and had a million "annoyances" you didn't realize until you owned it a while.
Maybe someone owned either one and could say the same things? Maybe someone on here lurks through x5 or q7 forums a ton in their search for the vehicle, and came across a lot of interesting info that may be hard to find elsewhere on the net?
Maybe someone works for Audi or BMW and could tell you more?
