Just situation that happened before one month. I was at gas station with my pickup. Engine was on and key in. I start talk with my helper and forget key and engine on. We both exit car and lock door. Instead of dramas I just open door with key from bulk. Just idea that man need not think about looking key in car give some tin layer of enjoinment to life.
He would purposely raise the handle to keep the door locking but didn't know the key wasn't on him? That's a whole new level of mindlessness and indifference.
I am not sure if it is a new level of anything. The things you do everyday several times that's where you get lazy occasionally.
Also just be a bit more careful before you lock and with your personal belongings. You will never need a spare. We haven't in years.
Does that go for liability insurance, too, just in case? If you're careful and have gone for years without using it, you don't need it? $1.98 for lost-key insurance, for the life of the car -- sounds pretty cheap to me.

Hey do whatever floats your boat. Am I forcing you somehow to follow what we do? Why are you so moved by my post? I just said what works for us. Are you really comparing liability insurance to your ability of keeping your keys in your pocket, BTW?

You can do what you want, but if you give an illogical reason to justify it, that will get you a response.

The price of two replacement keys every week. And it doesn't work if you lose or lock in your keys in cell phone dead zones.
A spare key is still useful when you forget the key on your office desk, especially if its a long walk or when the building closed after drinks/movie/etc
