Probably about 6k a year. I live in a small town, so most of my mileage is driving to the nearest city 50 miles away for better shopping, usually every week or two.

When both of us were still working we averaged 39,000 a year.

Now with both of us retired we average 9,000 a year.

Well, I leased a brand new 2012 Nissan in January of 2012 (less than 50 miles on the car), and I just rolled 45,000 miles on it 27 months later. I drive a lot.
