I like to watch the Thursday Mecum shows when all the cheap stuff (future classics?) cross the block.
There's a lot of pretty cool stuff that gets sold those days for not so big bucks.
If you're selling, you can be pretty confident the old rich dudes are gonna run up the price of your car at B-J.
I have a hard time getting excited about the B-J Saturday show with all the celeb and charity cars that bringing silly prices.

Watching an episode a few years back and 2 sixty something guys were bidding on a 55 T-Bird. They were both on stage so you can hear what they were saying. When the car hit around 50K over estimate, the one guys says to the other "you don't have enough money to buy that car", I think the one guy finally backed out when it was about 75K over. It was a nice car and I don't know if 1955 was special to either one of them, but the final price was crazy. It was entertaining to watch.
Im just watching the Barrett Jackson Las Vegas 2017 show last night and gasped at the low hammer price on some of these vehicles. They always show the happy buyer, but where is the camera when I want to see the seller's face? I'm sure the sellers are in the fetal position somewhere backstage. Why aren't there more online complaints? Is the contract so ironclad that sellers can't complain or sue? It's tough to watch other than to consider it a rolling car show. I'm sorry to all the sellers out there. You are getting hosed so all of us can watch a car show.

What would they sue for? The cars only worth what some one is willing to pay.
i have not paid attention to BJ auction in a bit but i think they rarely if ever let you sell a vehicle with a reserve price on it .. i know nearly every car on Mecum does usually have a reserve ..
I have never bought a car at an auction......simply never wanted a car soooo bad I would get into a bidding war with a total stranger to get it!
I hate all the fees the auction houses charge also.
