I've been using Google Maps to determine how long a drive would be to various cities from my own. I often ask myself, what's the longest a person can drive without going nuts?
What's the longest you've driven non-stop (bathroom breaks, refueling, etc are ok)?
1700 miles.
My son covered from San Diego to Seattle in single run.
Buddy of mine used to drive from Seattle to NYC where his parents lived in single run.
You may want to look into endurance races. It's not just driving, it's running same oval track for 2 days that will do you nuts.
Location: East of Seattle since 1992, 615' Elevation, Zone 8b - originally from SF Bay Area

At age 19 in 1971 I did a summer road trip with a friend for 2-1/2 months, over 18,000 miles. Of course, there were overnight stays, plus a week in upstate NY, and a week in New Orleans to stay with friends. We hit 44 states, but the longest actual drive straight through was from Tennessee to Colorado, about 18 hours. My wife and I often drive from Seattle to the SF Bay Area, about 14 hours, and now that seems about as far as we would attempt.
I did Bellingham, WA to Rockville, MD when I was 22... no real money meant not able to rent a place to sleep so I just went.
Older now, I've done 900 mile days with my wife and dog (2 back to back between where we lived and my wifes parents for a few years, then me and my parents now for several years doing the RT drive once a year).
I have driven from Lebanon Ohio to Eastport Maine and back several times, the shortest route is 1160 miles, the longest 1190 if I take the scenic route. The fastest I have done this was 21 hours, several hours of the drive are on US 1 (and state route 3 if I get on I-95 at Augusta)
I did Phoenix to Kansas City non stop a couple of time. Almost died falling asleep at the wheel on one of those trips. Never again. Now I stop at 10hrs, no matter what.
