still find themselves in first place-lol ESPN is wondering what is wrong with the Padres and I say NOTHING. They play in a weak division and showed they are not the type of team who can battle in October.
If the Braves lost 10 games in a row guess where the Phillies would be?
Or how good of a start did a team get off to where they could lose 10 straight and still have the 4th best record in the league and maintain a division lead over a team that is 2nd in the WC standings and only 1.5 games behind Philly in that race
The 3rd place team in their division has the 7th best record in the league and is 5 out of the WC
Doesn't change the fact they still have the 4th best record in the league - and the variation between them, the giants, the braves, the reds and the phillies is pretty slim

Don't say the phillies because the padres were swept by them
I would explain the insignificance of a single series amongst a 162 game series when trying to figure out how good a team is - but I know it would be lost with you

Seriously, are you Grouchy Smurf? I swear every post of yours basically starts with "I hate...." Are there any teams you like?
