I got to be honest, I have no clear team that I want to win it all. Actually that's a lie, I want Boston to win again. I like that team and core. Miami will get better, and will make it very interesting in the east.

In the west, the Lakers barring major injuries to any of their star talent, have the easiest chance to get back for a three-peat. After all, three-peats are Phils specialty. Anyhow, I think if the Lakers play Boston in the playoffs again it will be interesting. I would want Boston to win. If the Heat make it, I think LA is going to beat them.

I guess we'll just have to wait and find out and see.

This is assuming it is those teams. Orlando, San Antonio, Utah, and possibly Oklahoma City all have possible chances. I love the play of Kevin Durant. I just hope this kid acheives a lot. He is very mature and handles his business on the court with a confidence that is relegated to a few players. Watched him in the summer with the Americans, and I have to say, I think that he has already surpassed Lebron and Wade and only Kobe has an argument for being better now. That's just my opinion. I am glad that Durant is on a team that allows him to have a green light. You have to give someone with that kind of talent a green light.

The key also is that there are good teams one or two players away from taking it to the next level(championship caliber). Thus, trades are gonna be a key from now till February.

As expected, the Lakers easily put away Minnesota 112 to 95 with a good showing from the bench; Matt Barnes had the most points [24]. Lakers are now 11-2.

It is apparent to me that the West is much deeper this year. I think to make the playoffs, a team from the West might have to win at least 45 games.

Agreed JL.

Mavs end losing streak beating Atlanta on the road 98-93. Gotta say I'm really not a fan of the new road jerseys, but eh, if the players like them then power to them I guess.

Mavs are still a mystery to me. At times, they play really really well. At other times, it appears as if they don't show up. Hey, how did Chandler beat Haywood for the starting job?

Tyson Chandler played for a Los Angeles high school; I have followed his career from his days with the Bulls to the Hornets, etc. Nowitzki is the "Tim Duncan" of Mavs though Tim is a few years older and plays both forward and center. Nowitzki is not as consistent a player as Duncan. My biggest issue with the Dallas Mavericks is their idiot owner: Cuban!

Interestingly, the Miami Heat lost again; this time to Memphis. Lebron showed up to play [with 29 points & 11 assists] but with Wade injured again it probably cost the Heat another loss and this time against a team with 5-9.

The Western Conference continues to dominate!

Lakers easily dominated Golden State this evening and allowed the bench to play long minutes.

Surprise today was Toronto's defeat of Boston by one point.
