Now before you say I could have started a ECF Thread I didn't do it because no one commented on the game at all last night so what is the need for the NBA Playoffs thread now that so many are posting in the Spurs vs Thunder thread? Is this the main reasons below?
1. Everyone knows the Heat will win the series
If that's true then why isn't that the case for the Spurs/Thunder series? Everyone on this board knows the Thunder is not beating the Spurs 4 times in the WCF so why even have a thread for that series? I guess I;m just stunned there is no interest in a Eastern Conference Finals
There is no interest in the east because the clerics eliminated the best team, Philly.
As for the conclusion that everyone knows the thunder can't bear the spurs, there are about 16 thunder votes to 21 spurs votes so obviously not everyone knows the thunder can't win.

What do you mean the best team was eliminated? The Celtics had games 2 and 4 won which means they should have won the series in 4 or 5 games.
While the Spurs are favored, it should still be at least somewhat competitive and the Thunder are explosive enough that if they steal some close games could feasibly upset the Spurs.
The Celtics barring more injuries have no chance.
It's like this TVSG....if I give you 36:1 odds of rolling a 12 on a pair of dice, it's still exciting.
If I give you 100:1 odds of rolling a 13 on a pair of dice....it's celtics vs. heat.
P.S. Not to mention that the Thunder are an up and coming team so even if I knew they'd lose the series, it's still interesting because they will be a force in the west in coming years. The Celtics not so much.

It doesn't matter, if you are a NBA fan you still watch because it's the Eastern Conference Finals no matter what teams are playing. I had no interest in the Clippers/Grizzlies series but still watched because it was a NBA playoff series and I'm a NBA fan

I'm an NBA fan but I have a ton of dependants and whatnot, I have time pressures and I have to default to the box score as I can't watch all the games.
Sure, we'll watch, but there's not much to debate. With the Western final, it's a seemingly unstoppable veteran club vs. the exciting young guns who will be around for many years, which us much more entertaining.
