Houston's best shot would be against the Spurs. 0-4 against the Nuggets. Too much athleticism from the Thunder.
i would throw that 1 win on a last second shot by 1 point vs the spurs out the window. they where 1-3 on the season vs the spurs. they lost by 22, 8, 6 and won by 1. ill call it 4-1 for the spurs with houston winning 1 at home.
With just over a week until the postseason gets underway, the Spurs have waived Stephen Jackson, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). It's not clear yet why the Spurs are parting ways with Jackson, but one source tells Wojnarowski that it's been "brewing for a few days" (Twitter link). Art Garcia of FOX Sports Southwest first tweeted word of the roster move.
Jackson, 35, hadn't been having a strong season on the court, with his averages of 6.2 PPG and 8.1 PER the lowest he has posted in over a decade. Nonetheless, given the timing of the move and his place in the Spurs' rotation, I would assume he's out of work for off-the-court rather than on-court reasons.
Jackson had been playing out the final year of his contract, earning more than $10MM this season. He won't lose any of that money by being waived, though he will hit free agency a few months earlier than expected. Since he was released after the March 1st buyout deadline though, he'd be ineligible for the postseason, making it unlikely that he catches on with another team next week.
As for the Spurs, they had been carrying a full roster of 15 players, so the move opens up a spot for a free agent, should they choose to make an addition.
if this is true then the spurs just may have ended their title run, while i dont think jackson is that much of a contributor right now, his playoff career speaks volumes. this is HUGE because he has always been loved as a spur and by the spurs players.
Go watch a Philly game or something, because you know nothing of the spurs!
I know that it doesn't make sense for a team with three aging stars to return next season when they have 4 rings already and the other teams in the West are up and coming. If they are not in the Finals this year the coach should resign, duncan and ginobli should retire, and parker should be traded.

“We’re getting ready for the playoffs and putting our team together, and what we want to do and who we want to do it with, and we thought that making this decision with Jack was best for the group.”
...
Asked if Jackson had violated any team policies, Popovich said no. “There’s no conspiracy theory or anything like that. He was classy. I’m pretty sure he didn’t like the decision but basically, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
Nevertheless, disagreements over Jackson's role resurfaced in recent days, and the Spurs believed that Jackson had started to have a negative impact on the team's younger players. Within the Spurs, the organization didn't believe Jackson was playing well enough to bring him into the playoffs under these circumstances, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

And that move right there is why they will not be in the WCF.
I am hoping that the Lakers win their last game against the Rockets. It would caused the Rockets to be the #8 seed and with the Thunder clinching the west, it would set up for a big 1-8 match up. I would love to see the Rockets go against the Thunder. That would be a very entertaining series for obvious reasons.
so the rockets lost last night to the suns, and that puts them in an odd place. they need to beat the lakers or they drop to the 8th seed, it is a must win. the lakers hold the tie breaker.
the rockets NEED the win, and the warriors loss against portland in the last game because houston holds the tie breaker and move back to the 6th seed.
then memphis needs the win to hold home court over the clippers, but utah needs the win (and a lakers loss) to make the playoffs.
the bottom 5 seeding is getting interesting on the last night of the season.

Wow, had no idea that houston fell in these past few games to possibly play the Thunder. Now that would be a much better matchup than the Thunder and Lakers.
