It's funny you say the warrior fans are all cry babies. I see a lot of people not warrior fans crying a whole lot more. Picking those things you just did yet not bringing up others just shows bias.
You do? I don't see too many non-warriors fans crying more. Most acknowledge they are a great team, just don't like how Durant went there. I don't care, Durant can do what he wants, just as LBJ can do what he wants, as well as Kawhi. Why can't players choose where they want to go? Just like a regular Joe working at Acme Widgets going to Google. Why would he not do that?
As I've acknowledged a few times on this thread and other, I liked the Warriors until the players and their fans became cry babies after losing in 2016. Not sure how anyone can say that Curry does not act like a d-----bag on the court. Not sure where he learned that, growing up as Dell Curry's son.
History also remembers the difference between a good role player and a star. Horry was an important cog for those titles, but he was not in a starring role.
LBJ at this stage of his career should have no interest in young, promising players. He needs proven players who can play in the playoffs.
Yeah, it's not like he ever won any finals MVP's like a lot of other guys that people try to promote to high levels with their rings.
All i can say is The Steph Curry era is among us !
2013 was really the start of the fire
2014 they showed flashes of greatness
2015 - 18 they dominated like nothing we ever seen before
2019 - 22 is the window I give them to win at least 2 more
Now on to Lebron James - The best of the 2010's era
But he just couldn't get the job done when it mattered most
No excuses if your supposed to be the #2 Goat
From 2011 - 14 > He had all star talent around him
2015 - 18 > He again had all star talent around him
2019 - 21 > Look like he's ring chasing again
Let's just simply put ] He's not Michael Jordan but who is ?
He and Kobe before him got as close as any other players in the game chasing Mike to be the greatest.
His legacy is a love / hate debate
His apologist rank him 2nd to Mike despite all the losing he endured on the biggest stage + That 2011 finals is what haunts him the most.
The haters rank him top 10 and hail Jordan 6/6 as the be all end all for the Goat debate and it's understandable.Jordan never lost or allowed a game 7 on the biggest stage of all.
Now for all the kids out there,Lebron isn't unique in chasing his airness.
Since Mike retired, the media was looking for a player that could eventually eclipse Jordan as the greatest ever and for better or worse, each player came up short !!! I remember when Vince Carter was being compared to Jordan in the early 2000's.
Jordan just set the bar extremely high.
To eclipse Jordan a player would have to do the impossible
Win 11 scoring title's
Win 2 DPOY awards
Avg 34 ppg for a career
Avg 45 ppg in a finals series
Score over 32,000 pts in less than 13 seasons
Score over 3000 points in a season twice
Win 6 reg season Mvp's
Win a 4 peat instead of 3 peat
Go 7/7 in finals while winning 7FMvp's avg 35 ppg in playoffs
Hit countless game winning shots on the biggest stage
Win 3 slam dunk contest in amazing fashion
Basically a player has to 1 up Jordan in all major categories
if he wants to be the Goat and in reality that feat is damn near impossible as a wing player playing the game today.
There's nothing wrong with being top 3 or top 5,it's just a testament to how great Jordan truly was and maybe one day someone will actually surpass him.Kobe and Lebron both had the best chances to do it.
Maybe Curry can change the narrative from chasing MJ to actually chasing the challenge of being the leader of the greatest team of all time.
Warriors already won 73 games but they lost the title that year due to a few key factors like the Draymond suspension and Andrew Bogut injury. Warriors now have to win 73 games again but this time win the chip if they want title of greatest team of all time.
Warriors also need to get a better center if they wanna stay on top for these next few seasons.

This is indeed the Curry era: the most unselfish superstar in basketball.

LBJ is a top 5 all-time player. It will be interesting to see how much longer this late-career peak lasts and what the Lakers can put around him for the next couple of years.

MJ is top 5, as well. He's a very different player than LBJ. LBJ is a much better passer with great strength and size (and the ability to use them). MJ had incredible quickness and leaping ability. He was an extraordinarily versatile scorer.

MJ won 6 titles in 15 seasons. LBJ has won 3 in 15 seasons. LBJ is still playing at his peak, imo. He was better defensively in Miami, but he has grown offensively in Cleveland 2.0.

The point is to win the games--and the center of one of the greatest teams ever is Steph Curry. 3 titles in 4 years and 4 consecutive trips to the Finals is rare: the Heatles went 2/4, Kobe/Shaq went 3/3, MJ went 3/3 twice, then you have to go back to the Russell Celtics and the 50s Minneapolis Lakers. What happens if the Warriors 3peat, going 4/5? They've already surpassed the Heatles, and that gives them an edge over the accomplishments of Showtime and the Kobe/Shaq Lakers. Then they would be chasing the Jordan Bulls and 50s/60s dynasties. That is rare air.
The center position is not critical to the Warriors, especially not in the playoffs. In the real Finals (this year's WCF), most center minutes went to Draymond, KD, and Kevon Looney, with spot minutes from David West. The Warriors need a tank like Zaza to soak up minutes and punishment during the regular season, but they will run small when the games start to count.
Wow Cousins just signed a 1 year deal with the Warriors. Starting 5 is 5 All-Stars! Trying to break the NBA.

First, he's probably going to miss a good chunk at the start of the season (not that the Dubs even need him during the regular season at all!). Second, who knows how efficient he will be when he's back, will he be the same or worse? Some say a torn achlilles is worse than tearing your ACL/MCL.
