I'm sure any of the towing companies could do it. It doesn't mean that they would, but moving cars is what they do. When I bought a car at an HNL auction a towing company took it from the auction lot to Young Brothers. I bought the car from the BI and never touched it until it got here. I don't know why they couldn't do the reverse.
And they would have a key where it wouldn’t need to be towed. They just have a guy pick it up and drive it to the parking lot of Kona Airport. Leave the parking ticket in the car. I’ll grab the key from them later.

If you do have to leave your car at Matson be aware of the storage fees:

Hilo - 3 business days free, there after 5 calendar days at $6.88, days 6 thru 10 $9.63 a day and each calendar thereafter $19.25

We just picked up our truck from Matson in Hilo. If you can’t get someone to pick it up for you, they will wave the storage fees if you’re in quarantine.

Since you have to fly through HNL anyway, why not just land in Hilo? It's probably cheaper to change air tickets from HNL to ITO than to either move you to Hilo or your car to Kailua-Kona.

Yeah, our flight with Delta has become a mess. It’s all figured out again, but I’m sure it will change again. We will now be leaving Dulles on the 30th rather than the June 4th to Atlanta and landing at LAX. Then on the 31st we fly out to Seattle to HNL. Then on Hawaiian to Kona It would be a lot easier then to fly into Hilo to get to our house. Being it’s a different airline handling that connection, I don’t see why we can’t change it to Hilo. It would be a lot easier to get someone to get my car from Matson to Hilo airport.

Shouldn't be a problem. Call them up and ask. If no satisfaction, ask for supervisor.

If Delta won't change the ticket to Hilo on Hawaiian - you could always ask Delta to terminate the trip in Honolulu and then buy a ticket to Hilo - they are going $39 one way

Thanks Ark. That could make things a lot easier. Most important is us getting there.
