If I got a job in Talladega, would it be to much of a commute from Hoover? I really like the size and threads about Hoover and would be a good fit I think for my fam. Job however is in Talladega. ??

It would be a haul. The closest point in Hoover I could find would entail about a 54 mile drive one-way.

I can't imagine that being a good idea.

I drove from Pell City to Pelham for 10 years. It took 1 hour one way. Unless the gas prices come down or unless the pay is quite a substantial amount to compensate for wear/tear/gasoline/tires and less at home time - give it a try. Depends on the chances for advancement also. There is quite a cultural shock between Talledega and Hoover. (less professional)

Thank you for your thoughts. What other area around Talledega would be good schools, neighborhoods, etc??
