GONE WITH THE WIND!!! Never gets old... love it
Recent books I've read, which I thought were excellent.
1. Tending Roses, Lisa Wingate
2. Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini (made into a movie)
3. A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini
4. Nineteen Minutes, Jodi Picoult
I really loved reading Kite Runner. But I am not 100% sure if it can grip me like it did the first time.
Did you read his another book, A Thousand Splendid Suns? It makes a great read.

I liked reading the "Kite Runner" but then I've gone a few years telling people I don't recommend it - sort of a bad "after taste". Well, it was just just included by my book club so I saw the movie and just cried and cried - at the end, at least. It's a complex story, worth reading; the book is also worth reading separately or together (with the movie).

House of Sand and Fog movie was one of the most DEPRESSING movies I have ever seen in my life. Is the book that sad?? Or did the movie take liberties?
Did not like the movie but loved the book. It shows just how far people will take things when they think they are in the right.
I loved the movie Atonement, but I could never get through the book.
