You don't think there are subsidies or hidden costs to fossil fuels? What about the money and lives spent to stabilize the Middle East? What about the full costs to deal with the ash from burning coal or the deaths from mining it? If these cost aren't folded into the price at the pump, they are being paid in higher taxes and larger debt. Are those good things?

Every change is going to cost money and will be a PITA until the infrastructure and economies of scale are realized. But we can't get from here to there by standing still.

Does anybody who lives in an urban area think that our air is too clean? If not, how do you propose cleaning it up? I often hear that environmental regulations are driving people out of the state but how about all those who are fleeing or refuse to come out here because of our polluted air and water? Bad air quality has long term health care costs. Who's going to pay for that?
