For the GOP, California is a deep blue hole - latimes.com

The Los Angeles Times and University of Southern California are probably the best in analyzing California thinking and political trends. Their polling during the election turned out to be the most accurate; on election night the LA Times waited politely for 10 minutes after the polls closed to call the election in favor of the Democratic party and they were correct on every race. So, now this latest poll must be extremely bad news for California Republicans.

"California voters surveyed in the poll repudiated the Republican party's stance on illegal immigration by endorsing a host of positions intended to make it easier for the undocumented to gain legal status. Their support for same-sex marriage outnumbered that opposing any legal recognition by more than 3 to 1. Californians also endorsed an assertive role for government in protecting minority citizens, regulating corporations and helping the poor and needy, and rejected arguments that an activist role for government had harmed the fiber of American society".

Of interest is the number of voters who said that they would NEVER vote for a Republican [20%] and how overwhelmingly liberal those 30 years old or younger, Latinos, women. Also support for President Obama at 64% is one of the highest in the nation.

So 20% admit to being idiots. I've never been a Democrat, but I'd never say "I will never vote for a Democrat." Notwithstanding the type that have dicked up California for the past 40 years.

Sure the support in California is one of the highest in the Nation for Obama. The remaining states have caught on to his spending habits that we will be paying for over the next few generations and his love for those leaders that are against our nation. Maybe someday we here will also learn and get in step with the nation.

Huh, he has spent less that Bush
your second stipulation is just Bullpucky and has no credibilty, some moron told you to think that, and you jumped in with both feet.

It is amazing to me, that there are apparently full grown people who believe the crap the crazies say about Obama. It does show, that like Jim Jones' followers, some people will believe anything.

But how can some people even consider voting for a Republican, honestly? I know young Latinos like myself who view Republicans as the enemy and that kind of thinking is gaining strength. Throw in gay voters and other ethnic groups; the GOP is turning generations of voters against them better than anything the Democrats could have orchestrated. This poll has to be sobering news to the Republican party already reeling from the election.
