This is almost like what Olive Garden did by establishing a cooking school in the Tuscany area of Italy.
OK, I take back what I said earlier about the definition of hubris. I think the above definitely makes the grade.

Taco Bell failed the first time it went to Mexico 20 years ago. It went back a few years ago and I think it closed up again after only 2 years.

Hell if I know. If there are any in China and they do well, it's because the Chinese wouldn't know a decent taco if you tipped a dump truck load over them. For some reason, I can't see the Chinese accepting sodium loaded pale American knock offs of the food they invented and have been eating for thousands of years.

The one and only and final time I ever ate at PE, I was still chugging water 12 hours after putting that garbage in my tater trap.

They'd do fine in China.

With 1.6 Billion potential customers, they're bound to find a niche demographic.

Im guessing theyd be a hit with yuppies there.

Only if you're a pretentious food snob.

There's room in the market for high- and low-end cuisine, as evidenced by the success of chains like Panda Express and the Olive Garden. No reason to hate on them for being good at what they do.

I used to live in Italy. The only folks headed to Olive Garden there are taking the short bus.

Unless one hates what they do, of course.

YEAH! Let's show 'em Chineses how their food should taste when prepared really quickly by Mexican and White laborers!

What's next? Will we need a Chinese based hamburger joint popping in the US?

You don't think they'll adapt their menu to the country like McDonalds does? Besides, I see plenty of Asian people in Panda Express here.
