It is possible to have a few in a fun, social atmosphere, and not cause uncontrollable mayhem. Happens every night. Many people exist today because a couple of people got together at their favorite watering hole some years back. There's at least one place I frequent when I'm down in OC, which I'm willing to bet is filled with folks many Laguna Niguel residents would rather have yucking it up in, than doing so late night next to their pristine tract homes:

There is a practical place, even in the most beige of societies, for such establishments. Always has been.

SO WHAT IS THE 32K REFERRING TO? DO YOU EVEN KNOW OR DID YOU MAKE IT UP?

Since you refuse to answer that it's obvious you just made it up. Next time try not making statements you can't back up so you don't look like a fool.

The drunkards in the San Jose ghettos might love drinking until they're stumbling onto the street smelling like alcohol, but I assure you we don't have those types here.

Your own prescribed alternative was getting “smashed at home”, rather than going out. You can’t salvage this.
